Leh: Ladakh recorded nine fresh COVID-19 cases, taking the tally to 20,436 while the active cases in the Union territory has gone up to 73, officials said on Saturday.
Ladakh has registered 207 COVID-related deaths — 149 in Leh and 58 in Kargil — since the outbreak of the pandemic last year. A total of 20,156 patients have recovered till date.
All the six positive cases were reported in Leh. While a total of 1,770 sample reports in Ladakh, including 843 from Leh and 927 from Kargil, were found negative, they said.
There was no death due to COVID-19 reported in Ladakh on Friday.
Ladakh has discharged 20 patients on Friday and all of them were discharged from Leh.
With this, the total active cases in Ladakh has gone up to 73 including 53 in Leh and 20 in Kargil district.
