Div Com flags-off run for Athletes at Srinagar

Srinagar: Celebrating Independence Day Sports Week- 2021, the Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir today flagged off 5 kilometre short run for athletes today at Gupkar Road near Police Golf Course in Srinagar.

As many as 200 athletes participated in the run which culminated at TRC Turf Field.

The run was organised by Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council as part of Independence Day celebration Sports Week- 2021.

Div Com who interacted with many athletes on the occasion laid emphasis on sports promotion and involving youths on different sports activities.

He appealed to the youth to play sports to stay fit, healthy and stay away from drugs.

Among others, Secretary J&K Sports Council Nuzhat Gul, Sports Officer Kashmir, NuzhatAra, Sports Officer Central, Nusrat Gazala all coaches and a good number of parents were also present on the occasion.
