Srinagar: An aspiring scholar from Srinagar, Shaista Amin, has thanked Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for acknowledging her suggestion of introducing Ph.D. courses in other universities like Cluster University Kashmir and Central University Kashmir.

In his fourth episode of the monthly radio talk ‘Awaam Ki Awaaz’, the Lt Governor had voiced people’s suggestions including Amin’s over the inclusion of History subject for Ph.D programme in other universities of Kashmir division.

In her suggestion, Shaista Amin, an aspiring scholar from Natipora area of Srinagar city had recommended for starting Ph.D program in History at Cluster University Kashmir and Central University Kashmir.

The Lt Governor has welcomed all the sugestions on reforms in education sector in the UT and said all the suggestions were very interesting and will have far-reaching impacts.

While extending her greetings to Lt Governor, Amin said that it was very encouraging and joyous moment for her that in the recent telecast of Awaam ki Awaaz her suggestion was taken into consideration by the highest office of the UT.

“After you took the administration into your hands, we the youth of UT of J&K saw a new ray of hope and we are highly optimistic that you will channelize youth of J&K towards peace and progress,” Amin said

She hoped that her suggestion for educational reforms regarding the opening of Ph.D. course in history subject in these two universities will be launched soon.
