Union Addl Secy DW&RS visits Baramulla

Baramulla: Union Additional Secretary, Department of Drinking Water and Rural Sanitation, Arun Baroka accompanied by various concerned functionaries today paid visit to Baramulla district where he took review of the Implementation of Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) Phase-2 besides taking a brief appraisal of other sponsored schemes and programmes.

The meeting was attended by Director Rural sanitation Tariq Ahmad Ganie, ADDC Baramulla, Aijaz Abdullah Saraaf, ACD Gulzar Ahmad Khan, BDOs among other concerned Officers.

On the occasion, the Additional Secretary took stock of various related aspects associated with SBM and its allied components wherein he was briefed about its current status and position by the ACD.

After taking a holistic review, Arun Baroka emphasized mobilising all the available resources effectively and productively so that desired results are achieved. He directed work in Coordination and cohesion besides stressed to sort out all the impediments, if any, in a stipulated time frame.

Moreover, he emphasised working towards achieving the goal of plastic free rural India and solid and liquid waste management.
