BHW expresses gratitude to LG Sinha for recognizing his efforts

SRINAGAR: A Basic Health Worker (BHW) posted at a health center in Kangan area of Ganderbal district to vaccinate local population against COVID-19 illness has expressed his gratitude to Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha for the recognition from the highest office of Jammu and Kashmir.

Health staff posted at the Primary Health Center (PHC) Kullan of Kangan area of this central Kashmir district earned praises from Lt Governor Manoj Sinha for their relentless efforts to tackle coronavirus pandemic during the third edition of his monthly Radio Talk ‘Awaam Ki Awaaz’.

Jaffar Ali Balti, BHW at the health center said that he along with his colleagues at the center are extending their deepest gratitude to LG Sinha for appreciating and at the same time recognizing their efforts during the current health crisis.

“It is a big achievement for our center, as well as to all the health workers who are posted here, that it found mention in LG Shab’s Awaam Ki Awaaz,” elated Balti said.

He continued that the acknowledgment of their work from the highest office of J&K boost their morale to do more and gives an impression that our efforts are seriously being monitored and appreciated at the same time.

Balti said that the credit also goes to Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna, CMO Ganderbal and other officers who supported health workers and kept our work going on by providing all the possible help and support.

“All these officers and other staff are lending their valuable support and work with us shoulder-to-shoulder during COVID-19 vaccination so that nobody is left unvaccinated in the district,” he added.

During his third edition of monthly Radio Talk ‘Awaam Ki Awaaz’, Lt Governor Manoj Sinha for the second time had shared some of the inspiring stories of good Samaritans, and saluted their spirit and dedication towards human service.

In the programme, Lt Governor had appreciated the efforts of frontline healthcare workers and had also mentioned health workers like Balti for relentless efforts and strength during the present health crisis.

While signing off, Balti urged people to vaccinate themselves so that the battle against coronavirus is won at the earliest.
