Poonch, Apr 18: Government forces on Wednesday launched a cordon-and-search-operation near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir after “suspicious movement” was reported in the area.
Top police sources said that they launched the operation after reports that two to three militants were hiding in Chamber Kanari area of Poonch.
They said that Special Operations Group (SOG) Poonch and soldiers of 3/8 GR were jointly carrying out the searches.
