SRINAGAR: The School Education Department, in its endeavour to ensure the best possible education to children, has taken a slew of well-planned measures to end rampant adhocism at all levels, reads a communique issued by DIPR-JK.

In this connection, long pendency of regularization since 2007 of Incharge Principals and equals has been made by promotion of 1094 Incharge Principals from Senior Lecturers and 52 from In-charge Zonal Education Officers cadre. Besides, around 1,700 Lecturers have been promoted from Lecturers to Senior Lecturers.

Further, the School Education Department is in process of filling up around 300 vacancies of Principals and 700 vacancies of Head Masters in the shortest possible span of time.

Besides, for all the vacancies of Lecturers, ZEOs and Headmasters necessary instructions have been issued to the concerned quarter.

Recently, the department has filled up all the vacant posts of Chief Education Officers and Principals DIET and during this annual transfer drive a measure has been taken up to fill up all the posts of teaching staff in far-flung areas and in the hard zones so that studies of students of these areas will not suffer.

The department is committed and determined to fill up all reluctant vacancies by or before July 2021 so that an organized and efficient education curriculum is ensured for the students in the UT.
