Scarcity of doctors hurting COVID-19 fight in medical block Tangmarg: Ishfaq Mir

Srinagar: District Development Council member Tangmarg and Apni Party Youth-Vice President advocate Mir Tajamul Ishfaq said that six doctors of medical block Tangmarg have been deputed to Covid duty during past few months despite the Covid caseload of Tangmarg being highest in district Baramulla.

In a statement issued here, Mir said that the scarcity of doctors in medical block Tangmarg and the recent deputation of doctors has left many medical sections defunct causing people of the area to suffer more.

“In order to show BMO Pattan and Medical Block Pattan in good light, Tangmarg Medical Block has to bear the brunt,” he said.

Mir further said that the CMO Baramulla Dr Deeba will be held solely responsible for the death of any person from Tangmarg due to medical negligence and lack of timely medical intervention.
