50-bedded COVID care facility inaugurated at Nagam Budgam

Budgam: District Development Commissioner Budgam on Wednesday inaugurated a 50-bedded COVID care facility at Nagam Budgam.

The services, at the COVID care facility, including food for patients and attendants, sanitation, oxygen support through concentrators will be provided by KFORD, HWVO and Mission Oxygen.

On the occasion, CEO KFORD, Iqbal Lone, stressed on the urgent need for protection of children in these times. “Child protection is our primary responsibility,” he said.

Feroz wani Executive Director HWVO said that it is important to have child care facility in covid care centres.

Block Medical Officer Naagam Budgam assured full cooperation and support for the level II covid care facility.

SDM Chadoora and other officials emphasized on strengthening village level covid care centres in the area.

On the occasion, a discussion was held on the relief activities being carried out by KFORD, HWVO and Mission Oxygen in the area.

Meanwhile, the issues related to the vaccination process of children and “persons with disabilities” was also discussed with DC Budgam.
