DHSK together with local police conducted random sampling of many people at Jehangir Chowk.

A police official also said the drive was carried out to curtail public movement in Srinagar to slowdown the spread of COVID-19. He also said that most of the people who were tested were found roaming unnecessarily on the roads.

A medico said the exact number of people tested and subsequently found positive cannot be ascertained till final report comes.
