Srinagar: Gulzar Ahmad Bhat, darling of Kashmir’s Press Enclave, bid adieu to this mortal world on Tuesday. He was 70.

Friend of friends and well-wishers of even adversaries, Gulzar, in early 90’s, when there was gloom all over, would make the atmosphere of Press Colony at Residency Road Gulzar (garden of flowers) with his ever smiling face, and witty jokes.

Hailing from Shoolipora, Budgam, Gulzar was associated with Srinagar News and then joined Daily Uqab and worked there from 1993 to 2000. After that he again joined Srinagar News as its Resident Editor. He was unwell from last three years and thus was out of action.

Kashmir Images team condoles his sad demise and prays for eternal peace of the departed soul.

Meanwhile, Kashmir Editors Guild (KEG) on Tuesday also condoled the demise stating that Kashmir media fraternity has lost a dear friend who would always bring cheer to his colleagues by his wit and humor.
