SRINAGAR: Apni Party spokesperson, Javid Hassan Baig, on Saturday expressed his deep anguish over the erratic power supply across North Kashmir especially in district Baramulla.

In a statement issued here, Baig said that the power cuts are causing immense problems to the people of Baramulla district especially in this auspicious month of Ramadan.

“The administrative apathy is affecting the people’s life, as they were supposed to provide an uninterrupted power supply during the month of Ramadan but have utterly failed to do so,” he remarked.

He further said that the timing for power curtailment purposefully takes place during Iftaar and Seheri times when the electric supply is needed the most.

“I urge the administration to take the cognizance of the situation here in Baramulla so that the public grievance is addressed promptly and the people have to suffer no more for electricity in this holy month,” he said.
