Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Party President and Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr. Farooq Abdullah, and Vice President Omar Abdullah on Monday condemned the killing of a Councilor (MC Sopore) Reyaz Ahmed and PSO Shafat Ahmad who were killed in a “dastardly” attack outside the municipality office Sopore.
The party president and Vice President while condemning the attack in unequivocal terms said brutality has no place in any emancipated society. The duo termed the incident unfortunate and urged the police to investigate the case and nab the culprits behind the attack. The duo also expressed unison with the bereaved families and prayed for the fortitude to them and peace for the deceased.
Meanwhile, party General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, MP Muhammad Akbar Lone, District President Baramulla Javed Dar, Spokesperson Imran Nabi have also condemned the incident and expressed condolences with the families of the bereaved.
