Baramulla: Renowned Islamic scholar and preacher Nazir Ahmad Shah of Kitchama Narwav Baramulla passed away on Thursday after brief illness.
Large number of people participated in the funeral prayers of the Islamic cleric besides several political, social and religious organizations expressed their condolences and solidarity with the Shah family and prayed for the forgiveness of the departed soul.
Funeral prayers were offered by Maulana Rehmatullah Qasmi, Mohitimum of Darul Uloom Raheemiya Bandipora. He also prayed for the eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the family to bear the irreparable loss.
Condolences and prayer meetings were held throughout the day in which rich tributes and homage was paid to departed soul. After prayers and condolence sincere sympathies and condolences were expressed to the bereaved and family on the sad demise.
