DDC reviews progress under District Capex Budget 2020-21

SHOPIAN: District Development Commissioner, Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today Chaired a meeting of District and Sectoral Officers and reviewed the progress under District Capex Budget here at Mini Secretariat Arhama, Shopian.

The meeting discussed the finalization of District Capex Budget for the year 2020-21 to cater the developmental needs of the district with focus on strengthening grass-root level democracy.

The meeting discussed detailed proposal under the District Capex Plan, 2020-21,physical status of projects targeted for completion in the year 2020-21,status and progress of works under Centrally Sponsored Schemes. He also stressed on the concerned authorities to take all possible measures to accelerate the various ongoing works on various projects for their time-bound completion.

During the meeting, the DDC emphasized on completion of all the pending works on priority so that the aspirations of the public are met. He cautioned and stressed that any kind of laxity in completing the works within a fixed time will not be tolerated at all.

On the occasion, a threadbare discussion  on the subject was held during which  the DDC took a comprehensive review on the progress of various developmental projects, undertake  in Rural Development, Power, Education, Health PDD,PHE,PWD and other sectors.

He exhorted for mobilizing men and machinery for completing the projects in stipulated time frame besides exhorted to ensure productive and fruitful utilization of the available resources.

Meanwhile, various issues and bottlenecks were also highlighted by the  concerned officers and sought the speedy disposal of these issues.

He further directed all the executing agencies to take up the new projects/schemes for execution only after the said scheme/project are free from encumbrances, having administrative approval, technical sanction and provision for funds. He asked the intending departments to submit the weekly progress report of the works to DC Office. While reviewing the progress of construction and upgradation of roads in the snow bound areas, the DDC directed the executing agencies to ensure timely completion of these roads.

District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Chief Medical Officer, District Panchayat Officer, Dy. Chief Education Officer, Assistant Director Planning, Xen R&B, PHE, Irrigation, Block Manager, NRLM and other concerned officers were present.
