They said that their exams for Bsc and BA 6th semester were conducted last month, however, the Kashmir University in its latest notification issued a few days ago has directed them to re-appear in the same exams.

“Our exams were conducted in February month and now the Kashmir University has issued fresh notification, in which students have been asked to re-appear in same exams. We don’t know the reason, but the authorities cited reason for re-examination as out of syllabus paper, which is not true, as papers were set according to the syllabus,” a student told the media.

She said the authorities have asked them to re-appear in all skill subjects of Bsc and BA 6th semester which according to them is a bad decision, the university authorities have taken.

“Why should we re-appear in exams, we are preparing for degrees to be awarded to us, but the fresh notification has given us sleepless nights? We will not appear in any fresh exams. We appeal to the KU authorities to revisit its decision as early as possible,” she added.

Another student said that the Controller exams himself was not satisfied with the decision and assured them that a viable solution will be found in this regard.

“We are not going to reappear in the exams. We appeal to the Lieutenant Governor administration to intervene and want an explanation from Kashmir University for the pointless decision,” she added.
