CII delegation calls on Pr Secy I&C J&K

Jammu: A delegation led by Ravnish Gulati, Chairman Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) J&K Council and Managing Director Gulati Oil Mills Pvt Ltd. called upon Principal Secretary Industries and Commerce Government of J&K, Prakash Thakur.

According to the communiqué issued by the CII, the delegation highlighted some of the problems of the local industry and the desired actions required from the administration.

“The issues discussed included Land allotment policy, creation of USP for J&K and thrust to food processing industries, integrated development of agriculture, compensation with respect to abolition of toll tax at Lakhanpur, extension of 42% of CGST claims under budgetary support uniformly to all manufacturing units of J&K, budgetary support to industries covered under inverted duty structure, pending payments of MSME units, abolition of negative list w.r.t. present and future industrial policy in J&K,” reads the communiqué.

“Prakash Thakur gave a patient hearing to all the issues and assured speedy and timely action on the issues highlighted by CII members. Also present on this occasion were Anoo Malhotra, Director Industries Jammu and Mohd Harun, MD JKSIDCO,” it said.

“The CII delegation also included Abhinandan Singh Sachdev, Promoter SAS Industries Pvt Ltd, Darshan Lal, Proprieter, Sahib Industries and Khurshid Dar, Head CII J&K Council,” it added.
