Inter Battalion Sports Meet-2021conludes at Gulshan Ground Jammu

Jammu: The closing ceremony of the three days event “Inter Battalion Sports Meet” 2021 was held at Gulshan Ground Jammu.

ADGP Armed J&K, A.K. Choudhary, was the chief guest on the occasion.

ADGP Security J&K, Dr S.D Singh Jamwal, IGP Jammu, Mukesh Singh, IGP Armed/IR Jammu Zone, Danesh Rana, commandants of Jammu based battalion, SSP Jammu, SSP traffic, SSP Security Jammu and other senior police officers, besides a large gathering witnessed the colorful closing ceremony which was followed by cultural programme

While speaking on the occasion, the ADGP A.K Choudhary said that J&K Police has over the years been organizing Inter Battalion Sports Meet as part of its Annual Sports Calendar. The aim of conducting this meet is to find young, energetic and outstanding talent who in future will be representing J&K Armed Police in the forthcoming Inter-Zonal Sports Meet besides will also prove their mettle at State and National level tournaments. He later awarded the medals and trophies among the winning players and teams and wished them good luck for future assignments.

In the Sports Meet, IRP 19th Bn won the overall Championship trophy by winning 46 medals besides Const. Rohit Kumar No.859/IR 7th was adjudged best athlete (Male) after winning (07) Gold Medals. Constable Sheelu Devi No.851/IR 15th was adjudged best athlete (female) for winning (05) gold and (01) bronze Medal. Athletes of IRP 14th Bn remained champion in Cross country events.
