Nazir Ahmad Khan elected as DDC Chairperson in Budgam

Budgam: The Chairperson and the Vice Chairperson of the District Development Council (DDC) Budgam were elected on Monday in a meeting of the elected DDC members held under the chairmanship of the District Election Officer Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza (KAS), Deputy Commissioner District Budgam.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that Nazir Ahmad Khan Independent DDC member was elected as the chairperson, while Nazir Jahar of NC was elected as the vice chairperson of the DDC Budgam.

“In exercise of the powers conferred by rule 108-ZN (21) of the Jammu and Kashmir Panchayati Raj Rules, 1996, I Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza (KAS), Deputy Commissioner District Budgam, hereby publish the election result of chairperson / vice-chairperson of District Development Council, District Budgam,” a copy of result publication reads.

“In the election meeting which held smoothly at Budgam, Nazir Ahmad Khan Independent DDC member a resident of Warihama Magam, was elected as the chairperson, while Nazir Jahar of NC was elected as the vice chairperson of the DDC Budgam,” an official said—(KNO)
