Srinagar April 11, The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A. “The loss of civilians and injuries to dozens, as well as that of Security Forces during the encounter at Kudwani Kulgam, was highly painful and I have no words to express grief,” Mir said.

“One fails to understand as to what the Centre & State is doing in this regard, despite the loss of lives, both PDP BJP have not able to restore calm, the matter of the fact was that they have lost the control over the situation”, he added.

Urging upon the Forces to exercise maximum restraint while dealing with situation, he said Forces must ensure that civilians are not killed or injured. At the same time he reiterated his appeal to people especially youth to stop confronting Forces and maintain calm in the larger interests of safety of life and property.
