Kishtwar: DDC chairs weekly Block Diwas at Galigarh Trigam

KISHTWAR: District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Sharma today chaired weekly Block Diwas here at Trigam to redress the grievances of the locals at their doorsteps.

BDC chairman Trigam, Sri Chand; Assistant Commissioner Development, Kishore Singh Katoch; DSWO Tariq Parveaz Qazi; Tehsildar Kishtwar Pramood Kumar; DDC member Om Prakash; CEO, Kishtwar Ashok Kumar; DYSSO, Kharati Lal; DHO, Mushtaq Ahmed Wani; CAO, SK Bhagat; BDO Trigam, Misbah Anjumand,; Executive Engineer of PWD, PMGSY besides other officers and officials were present on the occasion.

Delegations led by elected representatives highlighted area-wise demands seeking the upgradation of schools, health facilities and road infrastructure besides streamlining of the various public deliverance services in the area.

During the camp, the delegations apprised the DDC that the major problem of the area is non-availability of telecommunication connectivity and demanded for the installation of communication towers in the area.

The Other demands projected included speeding up the   pace of macadamization work on Shalimar to Sarthal road, Construction of Kandani to Bhagra road, link road to Ramli,Kunja and various hamlets of Galigarh, expediting the pace of work on WSS under the Jal Jeevan Mission for block Trigam, repair and upgradation of Khandal and Ayar to Mandri Water Supply Scheme, early payment of pending  land compensation of  HSS Trigam, Construction of boundary wall of HSS Trigam, Upgradation of accommodation and other facilities at HS Galigarh, replacement of damaged wooden electric poles at village Janwas and Agral, segregation of the power feeders for Kuntwara and Trigam areas on rational basis, new bank branches at Galigarh, road connectivity to cremation ground, repair of kuhls, establishment of Anganwari centre at Galigarh, extension of  the playground at HS Galigarh etc.

After giving patient hearing, the DDC redressed most of the grievances on spot by passing slew of directions besides assured them that the rest of the grievances will be redressed in time bound manner.

He further said that after the election of DDC chairman, the development aspect shall be looked after by DDC.  He further sought the cooperation of PRI members in establishing a vibrant grievances redressal mechanism.

On the issue of telecommunication and road connectivity facility in the area, he said that the same will be communicated to the concerned authorities for the early redress. He said that a comprehensive project shall be formulated under PMGSY which shall  include all the habitations with the population above 250 souls .

He further asked ACR Kishtwar to conduct the Mutation camps in the area to provide service to the people at their doorsteps.

On the issue of the registration of the beneficiaries with the Ayushman Bharat sehat scheme, he informed that registration centre has been established at Shalimar in the vicinity of the Galigarh where the beneficiaries can register themselves.

A total of 32 domicile certificate,1 Income and 1 RBA certificates were issued on spot to the beneficiaries.

Similar, Block Divas programme was organised at Paddar under the Chairmanship of BDC chairperson Arpan Singh, in which 22 Domicile certificates, 22 category certificates, 03 income and 25 character certificate were issued in favour of beneficiaries.

Similarly, in Block Chatroo, block diwas meeting was held under the supervision of the tehsildar, Suman Sharma and BDO Anees wani.

Atleast 20 Domicile, 20 income, 6 social caste, and 5 RBA certificates were issued to beneficiaries at HS Dambar besides a number of grievances were redressed.
