Anantnag: The Khanabal bus-stand road in main town Anantnag is in dilapidated condition, giving tough time to commuters.
The locals said that the road was dug for laying down drainage pipes in the main town and has not been macadamized for past several years.
“This is the busiest and most important road in the town, but has not been macadamized for years. It leads to district hospital, mini-secretariat and court,” said a local, Tariq Ahmad.
“The road is full of potholes and causes damage to the vehicles plying on it,” he added.
An official of Roads and Buildings (R&B) department Anantnag, Suhail Ahmad Khan, said: “The macadamization process for 4 kms stretch of Khanabal-Mehndaikadal road will start in April this year.”
