BARAMULLA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo today convened a meeting of concerned officers to take stock of the arrangements put in place for carrying out the much awaited COVID-19 vaccination drive.

On the occasion, DC took a comprehensive review of various aspects pertaining to the drive wherein it was informed that two centres viz. Govt Medical College Baramulla and Sub District Hospital Sopore have been identified for carrying out the drive.

It was further informed that about 3300 health and frontline workers of the district shall be vaccinated in the first phase.

While emphasising upon the concerned to work in coordination and cohesion, DC said that such an exercise has to be carried out keeping in view all the related aspects so that the process is conducted smoothly.

Moreover, DC urged upon the people to follow all the related SOPs and guidelines in letter and spirit adding that the challenge of pandemic has not faded away yet and there is need to follow these advisories so that any kind of exigency is averted.

Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Medical Superintendent Associated Hospital Baramulla, district and sectoral officers among other concerned officers attended the meeting.
