JAMMU: Principal Secretary, Housing & Urban Development Department, Dheeraj Gupta today chaired a meeting to review the progress on setting up of Modern Slaughter Houses in Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting was attended by the Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation, Avny Lavasa; Commissioner Pollution Control Board, BM Sharma; Director ULB Jammu, Asgar Hussain; Special Secretary H&UDD, Showkat Mir; Additional Secretary, H&UDD, Dr. RS Sharma, Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Gazanffar Ali; Director ULB, Kashmir, Riaz Ahmad besides the representatives of Animal & Sheep Husbandry, Police and other departments.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Secretary emphasized that the Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for the Slaughter Houses should invariably conform to the guidelines of the Supreme Court of India.
