Dist admin B’la in collab with HASK organizes awareness cum sensitisation prog on COVID-19 in Tangmarg

Baramulla: In a bid to create awareness and to elicit feedbacks from different stakeholders about COVID-19 and its upcoming vaccination, District administration Baramulla in collaboration with Human Aid Society Kashmir (HASK) and its allied organisations organised a day-long awareness cum sensitisation programme at Town hall Tangmarg

Various religious and community leaders, civil society members, medical officers among other concerned prominent citizens participated in the programme.

On the occasion, various speakers threw light on various aspects and necessary measures that needs to be followed in order to control spread of COVID-19 and mass participation in vaccination. They also presented their valuable suggestions and feedbacks in this regard.

Deputy Commissioner Dr. G.N Itoo complimented the participants and underlined the role of different stakeholders that can be played to combat the challenge. He urged to strictly follow all the requisite SOPs and guidelines for averting further exigencies.

SDM Gulmarg also said that the challenge of COVID-19 has not faded away and there is a need to adopt preventive measures in letter and spirit. He stressed on use of face masks and maintaining social distancing especially at public places to mitigate the risk of infection.

Chairman Human Aid Society Kashmir highlighted the role of NGOs in combating Covid-19 and urged people to prepare their families and locals for vaccination of Covid-19.
