Srinagar, April 07: IGP Kashmir Swayam Prakash Pani accompanied by DIG SKR Amit Kumar and SSP Shopian Shriram Ambarkar Dinkar took stock of the situation in Shopian today.
A police spokesman said that during the visit, besides police officials, the IGP met DC Shopian and other officials of CPMF as well.
While discussing the challenges of policing with the district police administration, IGP instructed the men to stress on professional policing, the spokesman said, adding, he also inspected some of the developmental work undertaken by the district police in terms of infrastructure building.
The IGP gave instructions to the police officers to follow proper SOPs while dealing with any law and order situation and enhance the joint training capabilities to address difficult scenarios, the spokesman added.
