Meet Sadaf Mehraj, a budding artist from Tral currently living in Rawalpora Srinagar. Sadaf did her masters in International relations from Islamic University of sciences and Technology. As a child she loved to watch her father who used to draw and paint in his free time. And it was during that time that her interest in painting started to grow.  Sadaf said, “Art for me is a kind of meditation and the time that I spend with painting is the time spent productively”. Adding that, “I love my artwork, and I am very passionate about it and what else can be better than doing what I love.”

In her art, Sadaf uses various complicated patterns and her artwork is a fusion of Mandala, dot mandala and Kufic calligraphy. Her unique and intricate style of painting requires a lot of skill and patience. She adopted an innovative style of painting that would offer new possibilities as well as challenges as one goes on. Sadaf uses social media to share her Art with artists and art lovers all around the world. In a statement she said, “I will continue painting in future and keep developing my artwork with unique styles and ideas.”
