Gurez: Two Army men were killed and three injured in cross border shelling along the Line of Control in north Kashmir’s Gurez sector on Friday, taking death toll to 8 in north Kashmir.

Official sources said that two soldiers were killed and three sustained injuries in the firing from across the border in Gurez sector.

“The injured personnel are being evacuated while a befitting response is being given to the Pakistani firing,” they  added.

Pertinently, Four civilians, two Army men were killed and one civilian was critically injured in the heavy mortar shelling  along the LoC in Uri sectors, while a BSF sub-inspector was also killed in shelling along LoC in Nowgam sector near Tootmar Gali Handwara

Cross border shelling across LoC in north Kashmir’s Uri, Karnah, Nowgam an Gurez sector continues while this  this report is being foiled.
