In view of the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic, this year the number of exam centers have been almost doubled as compared to previous year.

It is pertinent to mention that annual 10th class exams also began in the Valley from Wednesday.

An official from J&K Board said that various preventive measures have been put in place to minimize the spread of the infection.

He said Secretary, JKBOSE Manisha Sareen along-with Joint Secretary, Examinations, visited the various examination centres at Srinagar and its peripheries.

The candidates were briefed about the concessions granted in the examination that they had to attempt only 60 marks out of 100 marks, he said.

This year, one supervisor is allotted for 20 students instead of 30 students, so as to follow the social distancing norms, the official added.
