Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday recorded 536 fresh COVID-19 cases, while four fatalities took place in the past 24 hours, taking the infection tally to 93,213 and death toll to 1,455, officials said.

Out of the fresh cases, 199 are from Jammu and 337 from the Kashmir Valley, the officials said.

Srinagar district reported the highest number of 131 new cases, followed by 118 in Jammu district, the officials said.

There are 6,976 active cases, while 84782 patients have recovered so far, they said.

Meanwhile, four deaths took place in the past 24 hours in J&K – three in Jammu region and one in the Valley — taking the death toll to 1,455.

Giving district-wise breakup, the officials said that Srinagar has 18977 positive cases (including 131 cases reported today) with 1651 Active Positive, 16978 recovered (including 107 cases recovered today), 348 deaths; Baramulla has 5795 positive cases (including 73 cases reported today) with 1457 Active Positive, 4195 recovered (including 30 cases recovered today), 143 deaths; Pulwama reported 4609 positive cases (including 12 cases reported today) with 198 active positive cases, 4331 recovered (including 35 cases recovered today), 80 deaths; Kulgam has 2466 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today) with 90 Active Positive, 2330 recoveries (including 14 case recovered today), 46 deaths; Shopian has 2186 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 86 Active Positive, 2065 recovered (including 06 cases recovered today) and 35 deaths; Anantnag district has 4202 positive cases (including 13 cases reported today) with 264 Active Positive, 3864 recovered (including 48 cases recovered today), 74 deaths;  Budgam has 5926 positive cases (including 27 cases reported today) with 294 Active Positive and 5540 recovered (including 41 cases recovered today), 92 deaths; Kupwara has 4350 positive cases (including 30 cases reported today) with 395 Active Positive, 3883 recovered (including 20 cases recovered today), 72 deaths; Bandipora has 4006 positive cases (including 12 cases reported today) with 231 Active Positive, 3729 recovered (including 22 cases recovered today), 46 deaths and  Ganderbal has 3484 positive cases (including 25 cases reported today) with 191 active positive cases, 3261 recoveries (including 10 cases recovered today) and 32 deaths.

In Jammu division, officials said, Jammu has 17240 positive cases (including 118 cases reported today) with 861 active positive cases, 16126 recoveries (including 125 cases recovered today), 253 deaths; Rajouri has 3182 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 86 active positive cases, 3050 recovered (including 18 cases recovered today), 46 deaths; Ramban has 1575 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 61 active positive, 1501 recoveries and 13 deaths; Kathua has 2410 positive cases (including 14 cases reported today) with 49 Active positive, 2330 recovered (including 08 cases recovered today), 31 deaths; Udhampur has 2649 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today) with 106 active positive cases, 2513 recovered and 30 deaths; Samba has 2155 positive cases (including 12 cases reported today) with 299 Active Positive, 1831 recoveries  and 25 deaths; Doda has 2628 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 130 active positive cases, 2453 recoveries (including 09 cases recovered today), 45 deaths; Poonch has 2231 positive cases (including 05 cases reported today) with 249 active positive, 1960 recoveries (including 20 cases reported today), 22 deaths; Reasi has 1258 positive cases (including 11 cases reported today) with 103 active positive, 1147 recoveries and 08 deaths while Kishtwar has 1884 positive cases (including 18 cases reported today) with 175 active positive cases and 1695 recoveries (including 33 cases recovered today) and 14 deaths.
