Digital Initiatives Committee of HED Kashmir Division organizes online Training for all stakeholders

SRINAGAR : To institutionalize Procurement  and  Purchase  through Government Electronic  Market (GeM), Digital Initiatives Committee  of  Higher Education Department Kashmir Division organized two day online Training for Principals, Purchase Conveners and  officials  of  various  Degree Colleges of Kashmir  Division.

Commissioner Secretary Higher Education, Talat Parvez Rohella, inaugurated the training programme which was also attended by Director Colleges Professor M.Y.Peerzada, Nodal Principal Professor Yasmeen Ashai, Convener Digital Initiative  Committee, Professor, Sheikh Ajaz Bashir, Principal Islamia College of Science and Commerce, Principals  of  different Degree Colleges and faculty.

Addressing the participants, Commissioner Secretary exhorted upon the participants to gain the knowledge in this innovative training with utmost focus and dedication so that they get optimum out of the programme.

While emphasizing on need for genuine and speedy procurement mechanism, he stressed on the need for close coordination between the Digital Initiative Committee and the colleges.

Convener Digital Initiative Committee expressed gratitude to Commissioner Secretary for his support in successful implementation of such technologically significant events.

Nodal  Principal  appreciated  the  initiative  of  the  committee in organizing  the  training  on GeM and  expressed  the  hope  that  after     training  Principals  and  associated faculty will   be  better equipped to  handle  Gem Portal Procurement  Mechanism.

Kush Tyagi Official trainer from GeM conducted training sessions in which he discussed in detail various aspects like GeM overview, Primary account creation, Secondary account creation, Account Activation/Deactivation /Transfer and outline of Dashboard in detail.

Members of Digital Initiatives Committee Zubair  Masoodi and Rashid  Malik  presented vote  of  thanks.
