The family members of the missing man, holding placards in their hands which read “missing since September 3, where is Riyaz ” assembled at the Press Enclave this afternoon and staged a peaceful protest to seek his whereabouts.

Riyaz, according to his family was posted at CSD canteen in Bari Brahmana, Jammu

“My father works as a storekeeper at CSD army canteen in Bari Brahmana Jammu. He was asked to undergo COVID-19 test before resuming duties. He followed the orders and got the test done. Then he went to the lab to get the report and has been missing since,” Bazila Riyaz, daughter of the missing man told reporters.

The protesting family urged the administration to help them trace their son who they claimed has been missing since the last eight days from Jammu. They also said the condition of his mother has deteriorated after she came to know that her son has gone missing.

“My marriage was scheduled in September which now stands postponed while my ailing grandmother’s condition has also deteriorated because of stress. We have lodged a missing complaint at Bari Brahmana police station in this regard but so far there is no clue about my father,” Bazila added.
