AMU students offer funeral prayer in absentia

Aligarh: A funeral prayer was offered for the deceased who lost their lives in the Sunday’s encounters by the Kashmiri students studying in Aligarh Muslim University.

The funeral was offered in absentia in the lawn of Kennedy Auditorium.

Speaking on the occasion, the vice president of the AMU student’s union, Sajad Subhan Rather while condemning the act, urged for the peaceful resolution of Kashmir conflict through dialogue.

A peaceful march would also be held on Friday, from Sir Syed Mosque to Bab e Syed gate to protest against the killings, he added.
