BARAMULLA: Two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) men and an SPO were killed after suspected militants attacked a joint Naka party in Kreeri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Official sources said that militants fired upon the joint checking (Naka) party of CRPF and police. The firing was retaliated by forces triggering a brief shootout in which forces personal including two CRPF personal and SPO were killed.
The slain SPO was identified as Muzaffar Ahmad and 2 CRPF men have been identified as Lokas Sharma and Driver Khursheed khan they said.
The sources further said that there were chances of encounter as the militants have been surrounded by forces. More details are awaited.
