Srinagar: Army on Tuesday claimed to have averted an “infiltration bid” along Line of Control in frontier north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

A defence official told GNS said that “In the intervening Tuesday night, suspicious movement of around eight persons was observed in two groups in Parkian Gali Sector along Line of Control.”

The movement of the “infiltrators” was challenged by the troops manning the area, the official said adding “However owing to the darkness they managed to ran away.”
