Srinagar: Police in Srinagar solved a theft case reported to Police Station Parimpora and have arrested one accused person involved in the commission of crime. Stolen property has also been recovered by the officers.

A police spokesman said that on June 2nd 2020, PS Parimpora received a written complaint from Zahoor Ahmad Bhat resident of Mujgund Srinagar stating that some unknown persons have stolen his Scooty bearing registration number JK01AL-0208, which was parked on roadside opposite Petrol pump Mujgund.

Accordingly, Case FIR No. 98/2020 under relevant sections of law was registered in PS Parimpora and investigation was initiated.

During the course of investigation, the spokesman said, police taking assistance of modern techniques learnt about the involvement of one accused person identified as Mudasir Ahmad Dar son of Ashiq Hussain Dar resident of Dangerpora Sumbal.

He was arrested and shifted to PS Parimpora, stolen property was also recovered on his disclosure within the premises of his house.
