Mehraj, Aasif help Pink City beat Safapora Blues

Sopore March 29: In the ongoing Wular Premier League played at Sheikh-ulAlam Sports Ground Tarzoo Sopore, Pink City Cricket Club defeated Safapora Blues in the first match played on Thursday. Safapora Blues batted first after winning the toss and were bundled out for 116 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Sajad 23 runs was the lone player who showed some resistance. For Pink City Club, Mehraj picked up 4 wickets while as Azhar and Nasir took 2 wickets each.

In reply Pink City Club got off to a flying start and achieved the target in 18th over for the loss of 6 wickets. Asif 34 and Khursheed 25 runs were the top scorers, and for Safapora Blues Ayesh took 3 wickets. Asif was declared as man of the match.
