Man dies of Covid-19, death toll in J&K mounts to 5

Srinagar, June 13: A retired doctor from Parray Pora area of Srinagar who was tested positive for Covid-19 died at JVC Bemina during the intervening  night on Friday and Saturday, official said.

Medical superintendent JVC Bemina Dr Shifa Deva told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO),  that a 74 -year old retired doctor from Srinagar died at the hospital.

He was tested positive for Covid-19 few days before and was admitted at JVC on June 02, she said, adding that doctor was suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease(COPD)

With this  death, the fatalities due to the virus have reached to 13 in Srinagar, followed by Baramulla ten, Kulgam eight, Anantnag six, three each in Shopian, Kupwara and Jammu, two each in Pulwama and Budgam while one death each has been reported from Bandipora, Doda, Udhampur and Rajouri
