DIC Srinagar organizes awareness prog for youth

District Development Commissioner, Srinagar Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah (IAS) was the chief guest on the occasion. Director, Industries and Commerce Bilal Ahmad Bhat was the guest of honour. Among others  Prof. Musadiq Amin Sahaf, Dean, Academic Affairs, Kashmir University, Prof. Mushtaq Darzi HoD, Department of Management Studies, Kashmir University and Prof. Shabir A. Bhat, Professor, Department of Management Studies, Kashmir University were present om the occasion.

On the occasion DDC Srinagar in a motivating address to the audience, which mainly comprised students from Management, Commerce and Economics streams, urged them to optimally use  their potential by working  hard and realize their dreams. He also appreciated the efforts of General Manager, DIC, Srinagar Syed Sajjad Qadri  for organizing such an event which he said will go a long way in bridging the gap between bureaucracy and academia.

Director, Industries and Commerce while speaking on the occasion said that the department of Industries and Commerce will facilitate all potential entrepreneurs who want to invest in the State.

Prof. Musadiq Amin Sahaf, Dean, Academic Affairs, Kashmir University, and Prof. Mushtaq Darzi HOD, Department of Management Studies, Kashmir University also spoke on the occasion and urged students to look beyond government jobs and choose entrepreneurship as their careers.

In his inspiring address General Manager, DIC, Srinagar expressed that there is a dire need that the intellectual class and the youth of the State come forward and make some positive impact on the ground and be the agents of change.

A presentation on various  schemes and incentives available from the department was also given on the occasion. The DIC, Srinagar also showcased some of the success stories of District Srinagar and made them to interact with the students. At the venue, several unit holders also displayed their locally manufactured products which were seen and appreciated by the visitors.
