KULGAM: Deputy Commissioner, Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat today visited several areas of district Kulgam to take first hand appraisal of enforcement of restrictions and lockdown in the district.

The Deputy Commissioner visited various quarantine centers which have been established in the district including ITI College, KB Pora and took stock of the facilities in place. He also inspected EKLAVYA School, Tangmarg which has been earmarked as additional quarantine centre.

He directed the concerned to ensure complete lock-down in the village and ensure that no inward or outward movement in the area.

Deputy Commissioner took stock of arrangements which have been put in place at these centers and directed the concerned to ensure that every facility is made available there.

He was accompanied by ADC, Shabir Hussain and other officers.

He appealed the people to stay at home to break the chain of coronavirus infection and urged the people to adhere to social distancing in view of COVID-19 infection.
