Srinagar: Sixteen new COVID-19 cases were reported, all from Kashmir Division, today taking the total number of coronavirus positive cases in the Union Territory to 581.

Of the total cases, 523 are from Kashmir and 58 from Jammu region, they said, adding that while 192 people have been cured of the disease, eight have died.

“Till date, 68,846 travellers and people in contact with suspected cases have been enlisted for surveillance. This include 6,440 in quarantine including facilities operated by government, 244 in hospital quarantine, 381 in hospital isolation and 8663 under home surveillance. As many as 53,110 people have completed their surveillance period,” the officials said.

Moreover, 16 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals today which include 05 from Jammu division and 11 from Kashmir division.

The officials said that out of 18450 test results available, 17869 samples have tested as negative till April 29, 2020.

Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Bandipora has 127 positive cases wherein 102 are Active Positive, 24 recovered, 01 died; Srinagar has reported 1 case today taking positive cases to 87 with 34 Active Positive, 51 recovered (including 1 recovery today),  02 died; with 01 new case today, Shopian has 71 positive cases with 58 Active Positive, 13 recovered; Baramulla reported  01 new cases today taking total number of positive cases to 73 with 49 Active Positive, 21 recovered, 03 died; Anantnag district reported 09 new cases which led to 71 positive cases with 70 Active Positive, 01 died; Kupwara has 49 positive cases with 30 Active Positive, 19 recoveries including 10  recoveries today ; Budgam reported 04 new positive cases taking its total to 19 of which 10 are Active Positive with 09 recovered cases; Ganderbal has 14 positive cases with 09 Active positive and 05 recovered; Kulgam reported 1 case today making total positive cases 07 and all of which are Active Positive ; Pulwama has 05 positive cases with 02 active positive, 03 recovered.

Similarly, Jammu has 26 positive cases of whom 03 are Active Positive, 05 recovered today taking total number of recovered patients to 23, Udhampur 20 positive cases of which 03 are Active Positive, 16 recovered and 01 died, while as Samba district has 04 positive cases and all the cases have recovered; Rajouri has 04 positive cases, 01 active positive and 03 have recovered;  Kathua has 01 positive case who is active positive; Kishtwar had only 01 positive case who has recovered; Ramban has 01 positive case who is Active Positive; Meanwhile, Reasi has 01 positive case who is Active Positive.
