DC B’la Inspects Quarantine Centres in Tangmarg

BARAMULLA: Continuing efforts towards to contain the COVID-19 spread, Deputy Commissioner (DC), Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo, accompanied by SSP, Baramulla, Abdul Qayoom today inspected various quarantine centres established in Tangmarg area to take stock of various anti-corana activities undertaken by the district administration to control the spread of the virus.

On the occasion, DC reviewed the on-going activities for containing the COVID-19 and stressed the concerned to mobilize all available resources and accelerate their actions in this regard.

While enlisting various initiatives taken by the administration, DC said that various medical teams have been constituted for collection of samples of suspected persons at their door steps in all the red zones areas.

Later, the DC chaired a meeting with the concerned officers at COVID-19 Control Room, Tangmarg to review the stock and supply position of various essentials in view of forthcoming holy Ramadhan. He directed the concerned authorities to ensure home delivery of all the essential commodities especially in the declared red zones while keeping in view all the related health advisories.

Earlier, the DC inspected various vegetable sale outlets in Old Town Baramulla and directed the concerned to ensure that social distancing protocol is maintained to at these outlets. He warned them to desist from profiteering and selling sub-standard items, as any such act will warrant penal action under Legal Metrology and Essential Commodities Acts.
