J&K Bank lodges FIR against ‘unscrupulous elements’

PULWAMA: Authorities today booked 8 persons for violating quarantine laws by fleeing from the Red Zone areas and travelling to Tral, tehsil of the district.

According to Tehsildar, Pulwama, the field staff reported the presence of eight persons  in the house of Mohammad  Sahaban Sheikh r/o Amirabad Tral. These persons had reportedly fled from the Red Zone declared villages of  Parigam and Qazigund of Tehsil Pulwama, a few days ago.

While taking cognizance of the matter District Administration quickly traced all the 8 persons and put them in the quarantine at Hamdard Grammar School, Tral.

All the 8 persons have been booked  under section 269 IPC(unlawfully or negligently doing something which is likely to spread infection of any dangerous disease to life), section 270 IPC (malignant act likely to spread infection of dangerous disease to life), section 271 IPC (knowingly disobeying any quarantine rule) and section 188 IPC (for disobeying any Government orders).

District Magistrate, Pulwama, warned of stern action against anyone violating the orders. He reiterated that there would be zero tolerance against those endangering thousands of lives. He added that violating Government orders will warrant penal action and prosecution proceedings will be initiated against such violators.
