SMC sanitizes Child Care Homes, Leper Colony, Central jail, Psychiatric hospital

SRINAGAR: Continuing its efforts to sanitization various areas in Srinagar, Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) today sanitized several Child-care homes and other places of public importance.

According to the Commissioner SMC, Gazanfar Ali, the sanitization drive was conducted at Observation Home in Harwan, Shiekh-ul-Alam Yateem Trust in Jawahar Nagar, Markazi Falahi Atfal in Shalimar, Markazi Falahi Mastoorat in Shalimar, Baitul Banat in Haftchinar and Gujjar Bakerwal Hostel in Gogjibagh.

Besides, Leper colony in Behrar, Psychiatric hospital and Central jail in Rainawari were also sanitized by the corporation, he said.

During the drive, chemicals were sprayed to sanitize the areas as a preventive measure to break the chain of Corona virus transmission.

Commissioner SMC said that such drives will also be conducted at other important places besides, various lanes and bye lanes are being sanitized on daily basis.
