The houses which have been damaged are owned by Abdul Rashid Chechay, son of Mohmmad Rafeeq Chechay;  and Bashir Ahmad Chechay, Abdul Majeed Chechay, and Nazir Ahmad Chachay, sons of  Mohmmad Akbar Chechay.

Ghulam Jeelani, Station House Officer (SHO), Police Station Chandoosa, told ‘Kashmir Images’ that they got information about landslide from Lateefabad around 10 pm last night, following which they reached the spot and rescued 14 people.

He said the rescued persons were asked to stay in Higher Secondary School Chandoosa, but they refused and wanted to stay within the neighbourhood, which he said is prone to landslides.
