Kulgam administration intensifies sanitation cum fumigation drive

KULGAM, MARCH 25: Continuing its efforts to breakdown the chain of Corona Virus infection, today on the instruction of Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Showkat Aijaz Bhat, Rural Development department carried out an intensive sanitation cum fumigation drive in several Panchayats in the district.

The officials of RDD along with BDC’s and members of PRI’s also  imparted awareness to the people  through a door to door campaign and urged people to stay  home and follow health advisories strictly.

The process was monitored by DPO Kulgam, Mohammad Imran Khan.

During the drive various places of vital public importance were sanitized and fumigated to mitigate the risk of infection.

Pertinently several other measures have been put in place in the district and as precautionary measure lock down &  section 144 CrPc have been imposed by District Magistrate in entire  District to contain the spread of COVID-19 infection.
