Baramulla, Mar 22: A Traffic policeman was killed after a speeding Sumo cab hit him at Kanispora on Srinagar-Muzzafarabad highway of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday afternoon.
Witness said that the traffic cop identified as Head Constable Mohammad Dilawar Mir, son of Wali Mohammad of Zethan Rafiabad was hit by a speedy cab at Kanispora near JET College when he was doing his duty. He was rushed to District Hospital Baramulla where he succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile police said a case has been registered in this regard while the cab driver was also arrested and his vehicle seized.
