Srinagar, Mar 22: State Secretary CPI (M) Ghulam Nabi Malik has condoled the demise of veteran journalist and writer, Maqbool Sahil, who passed away on Tuesday in Srinagar.
“The contribution made by late Sahil in the fields of journalism, poetry and literature will always be remembered. In his death, the state has lost a great asset and the vacuum left by his passing away in the journalistic fraternity would be difficult to fill,” Malik said in a statement here.
It said a delegation of CPI (M) led by Malik visited the bereaved family today and expressed condolences and solidarity with the family.
