Srinagar: The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) on Tuesday announced a 14-day summer vacation for all government and recognised private schools across the Kashmir division.
According to an order issued by the Directorate, with the approval of the competent authority, all government and recognised private schools up to the Higher Secondary level shall observe summer vacation from July 6 to July 19, 2026.
The schools are scheduled to reopen on July 20, following the conclusion of the summer break.
The decision comes amid prevailing heatwave conditions across the Kashmir Valley, where temperatures have remained significantly above normal over the past several days.
