Jammu: Sat Sharma, J&K BJP President & Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), along with Ashok Koul, General Secretary (Organisation) addressed an organisational meeting of senior party leaders at the party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
The meeting witnessed the participation of senior leaders, including Vice-Presidents, General Secretaries, and other office bearers, and focused on reviewing ongoing organisational programmes while strategising for upcoming party activities across Jammu & Kashmir.
Sat Sharma emphasised the need to further strengthen grassroots-level engagement through sustained organisational efforts such as booth-level outreach, “Gaon Chalo/Basti Chalo Abhiyan,” and public welfare-oriented initiatives. He highlighted that the BJP remains committed to connecting with every section of society through its service and ideological clarity.
Focusing particularly on women’s empowerment, Sat Sharma spoke in detail about the historic Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam 2023, stating that it reflects the unwavering commitment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP towards ensuring greater participation of women in governance and nation-building. He remarked that the legislation is a milestone in realising the vision of “women-led development,” which is central to India’s growth story.
Sat Sharma asked the Mahila Morcha leaders and women representatives of the party to take this message to every household and ensure that women across all sections are made aware of the transformative steps taken by the government for their empowerment.
Ashok Koul, in his address, stressed the importance of organizational discipline, coordination, and effective implementation of party programmes. He called upon party leaders to actively engage in forthcoming programmes, ensuring maximum outreach and public participation.
Highlighting the role of women in strengthening the party structure, Ashok Koul said that women workers are the backbone of the BJP’s grassroots network. He encouraged Mahila leaders to intensify their efforts, mobilize women at the local level, and play a proactive role in disseminating the achievements of the government.
